In order to instruct and encourage hotels and B&Bs within Nantou County to strengthen their epidemic prevention capacity and provide comprehensive services for tourists to stay overnight safely, in May, Nantou County Government released the “Epidemic Prevention Forest Breathing 2.0 – Safe Accommodation” recognition! On May 8, Magistrate Lin Ming-zhen awarded the first “Hotel Safe Accommodation” label and “B&B Safe Accommodation” label in person to Atayal Palace and Florence Resort Villa. Magistrate Lin stated that he expresses gratification and highly praises hotels and B&Bs in Nantou County for their self-discipline on strengthening epidemic prevention measures. He believes that these actions will eventually gain the recognition of the tourists and eventually they will be willing to stay and travel around safely!
Magistrate Lin pointed out that Nantou County has large and beautiful tourist and scenic areas. After the county government’s advocacy on visitor control during holidays at major attractions, not only have practitioners cooperated to ensure epidemic prevention and safety, but also under the aggressive implementation of Nantou County Hotel Commercial Trade Association and Nantou Bed and Breakfast Association on promoting “Safe Accommodation” label recognition, they have really provided safety on the 3 aspects of “tourists, employees and venues,” thus providing the safest health assurance to tourists staying overnight. Magistrate Lin said that the “Safe Accommodation” label has received great response since its release and currently more than 200 hotels and B&Bs and have applied for the label. They can only receive this label after being recognized for their epidemic prevention operation according to SOPs. These labels will be posted at their entrance and reception counter, so that citizens can easily recognize them. Epidemic prevention SOPs will be posted in easily seen places and employees will be trained accordingly to clean up and sterilize the environment every day.
